Astrid Boone was born in Mexico City and grew up in Texas. After marrying her husband Brit, they spent a decade each in Russia and Montenegro, where she gained diverse teaching and leadership experience. Astrid holds a degree in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University and has worked as a case manager and educator. In Montenegro, she also led a company promoting rural travel and started a food bank. Now, back in the US, she is excited to be part of the Friendship House team, serving the community through food distribution and sharing the love of Jesus. Astrid enjoys cooking, running, swimming, and reading, with a passion for emotional health, autoimmune illness, and spiritual formation. She treasures family time with her husband and daughters, Hannah and Joy.
